3D, Panoramic and Cephalometric X-Ray
Veraviewepocs® 3De offers digital 3D, panoramic, and cephalometric imaging options. This model features built-in sensors for all image types designed to save time and protect the hardware. This model offers views with class-leading clarity. Veraviewepocs 3De are equipped with a new Dose Reduction Feature for increased patient protection.
The Dose Reduction Feature is rooted in how the machines acquire information. Through advanced engineering, the intensity of the X-rays has been optimized which decreases the overall level of emissions. Dosage has been reduced 30% to 40% on all three-dimensional fields of view. Maximizing the efficiency of the machines has also resulted in sharper images of soft tissue with fewer artifacts.

By using computerized digital x-rays, we are able to reduce the radiation to our patients by almost 90%. A comfortable sensor pad is used, instead of film, to capture an instant on screen image. This allows for shorter appointments for our patients. Digital x-rays can be enhanced by the computer for improved visualization and diagnosis. We can quickly send a patient report with these x-rays to the referring dentist after a patient’s with us.
Our special operating microscopes support magnification (up to 25X) and Zenon illumination. This technology enables the doctor to see tiny details inside a tooth including but not limited to fracture, isthmus, separated instrument, calcify canals and intra-coronal decay. A tiny video camera on the operating microscope can record images of a tooth to further document the doctor’s findings. This leads to a better and more accurate diagnosis and results in better dental evaluation and treatment decisions.
Our practice is equipped with dental operating microscopes, which allows power adjustments for focus, zoom, focal length, and intensity of the Zenon light source. An ASI dental unit also complete with air-driven high and low speeds fiber optic handpieces, electric rotary motor, ultrasonics, system B, obtura, dual micro irrigators, micro air syringes, and curing light.
The OPMI PROergo microscope from Carl Zeiss is equipped with a high-resolution digital camera, which can record images of a tooth to further document the doctor’s findings. These pictures can be sent to the referring dentist and the relevant insurance carrier for increased communication of the patient’s specific needs.
Apex Locator: This device helps to precisely measure the length of the tooth’s roots electronically for complete cleaning of the tooth. Due to its high accuracy, it reduces the number of x-rays normally needed during the procedure. Used along with digital x-rays, this device lowers patient radiation exposure even further.
Nickel-Titanium Rotary Instruments
The degree of cleaning and shaping determines the success of root canal therapy. Along with liquid antimicrobial agent, nickel-titanium hand and rotary files are used to maximize the removal of the harmful bacteria within the root canal system.
An alternative to the drill. Instead of using a drill inside a tooth, this device vibrates a diamond coated metal tip at high frequency. It is most commonly being used in root end surgery and non-surgical re-treatment. Because it is very small, it can be used under the microscope for precise removal of small amounts of tooth or fillings allowing for conservative treatment of your tooth.
